Anytime the weather forecast indicates expected temperatures be

Turn on steam tracings. Check each for adequate flow.

MITTER).
Establish some flow through several faucets or other
POTABLE WATER OUTLETS IN CONTROL-OFFICE BUILDING.
Block off and drain condensate tubing line to battery-
room.
Insure adequate flow through sample line to condensate
conductivity cell.
Establish some flow through 3/8" tubing lines from
process water dead-ends (near each Spray-Water con
trol station).
Block in and drain condensate lines to Spray-Water con
trollers.
Establish some flow through process water service lines

Establish some flow through hose connections on conden
sate LINES TO CHEMICAL MIX TANKS.
Close block valves on cooling water supply and return
LINES (OVERHEAD NEAR SW CONRNER OF EACH HRU)-DRAIN
SECTIONS OF LINES OVERHEAD IN NORTH-SOUTH PIPE RACK,
Establish flow through process water service lines east
C.T.of each Generator and one near

Establish flow through drains on both sprinkler SYSTEMS. Establish flow through hose connections on deluge
guns (5).
Establish some flow through hose connection near
ARU FLASH-TANK LEVEL CONTROLLER.
Establish some flow through service hose on north
SIDE C.T, STAIRS.
Establish flow through drains (A) on potable water MAKE-UP LINE. Establish flow through 3/8" tubing from potable water pump discharge line to top of storage tank. Block off and drain cooling water flush line to caustic
PUMPS. Insure caustic tank heaters are on and functioning. Crack drain valves on air receiver and cooler. Block off process water line to Warehouse and establish some flow through drain on upstream side. Drain ser vice HOSE CONNECTIONS. Establish some flow through faucets in Warehouse rest rooms.
HARD FREEZE PRECAUTIONS
The following items will apply when temperatures are forecast

Close main block valve on process service water line
to Block (near NE corner of AWC-1A). Drain all lines.
Alternate the following pumps (every A hours):
(a) C.T. Pumps (b) H.P.-BF Pumps (c) L.P.-BF Pumps
. 8. Run sand-filter pump; insure adequate flow to filter,
. 9. Maintain small amount of flow through Cation line.
10. When necessary to cool Cooling Tower water, run south pump with
full flow through 200 ARU's.
