Subject: Media inquiry regarding Chemours in North Carolina
Hi, Enesta. I'm doing my periodic check on the status of EPA's investigation into Chemours1Fayetteville Works plant in North Carolina. Specifically, I'm curious to know:
1) Has EPA determined whether Chemours has violated the terms of the 2009 consent order issued under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for the production of GenX? Is this investigation still ongoing? If so, any idea how long it might take?
2) Has EPA updated the risk assessment for GenX?
My deadline is noon Thursday.
Regards,
Vaughn Hagerty
