The following information was obtained verbally from Mr. Gross unless otherwise noted.
Advance Iron and Metal is a ferrous scrap handler that accepts scrap from the general public. The collected scrap is then sold to companies such as PSC Metals LLC for further processing. Mr. Gross said that he doesn't accept items such as A/C units, refrigerators or vehicles. He then stated that in situations when a customer tries to sell him any of the aforementioned materials he turns them away.

EPA toured the facility: Yes
Data Collected and Observations: EPA noticed what appeared to be one window A/C unit in the yard, despite being told that they are not accepted.
Photos and/or Videos: were taken during the inspection.
Compliance Assistance: EPA informed Mr. Gross that there appeared to be one window A/C unit in his scrap yard, which needed to be disposed ofproperly.
