September 25, 1978 Technical Center IH/EP Asbestos Insulation Stripping \ K <\ Old PROJECT Survey for asbestos exposure of insulators stripping insulation from high pressure steam lines in the south side basement of Build ing 701 . DATE OF SURVEY September 9, 1978 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION Good judgement and proper housekeeping techniques by insulators kept the exposure to asbestos fibers at a minimum. The j"' was wet down with a garden sprayer and dismantled with the minimum amount of cutting. Mr. R. Raines and Mr. E. Davis were wearing 3M disposable dust masks. The stripped material was bagged and labelled for land fill. The exposures were well below the TWA of 2 fibers/cc and a ceiling value of 10 fibers/cc.
