This practice has been discontinued for some time in demonstrations by representatives of the Ethyl Casoline Corporation and would seem to be even more strongly contraindicated under present circumstances. In these demonstrations, there are no adequate facilities for complying with the Rules and Regulations for the Handling of Ethyl Fluid, all of which is here open to inspection by large numbers of people. Aside from the unfortunate impression which is apt to be made by such handling of the Fluid, a genuine potential hazard exists in that if any Fluid is spilled on the carpeted and v/ood floors, cleaning would become a major problem, if possible at all. . It would appear from Mr. Baldwin's report that the engineer iri charge of the exhibit would be happy to discontinue this phase of the demonstration and it seems to me that v/e s houId encourage him in this idea.
