AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS: Reinforce the existing system in the south 9300 ft2 (865 m2) of Warehouse B to provide 0.25 gpm/ft2 (10.2 L/min2) over any, including the hydraulically most remote 3000 ft2 (279 m2) of floor area using 17/32 in. A master fireboard will be installed in the Lab Office, No other information is available at this time. A new 80 ft x 158 ft (24. 4m x 48.2 m) warehouse will be constructed alongside Warehouse A and Warehouse C (Building No. 815). It is to be of light noncombustible construction. Storage is to be PVC pellets In Gaylord containers. Current storage height of this product in the facility is to 10 ft (3.1 m). Plans are to be submitted to IRI. The tanks currently in this area are to be moved south of the Lab Building. COMMENTS RSVP*: The completion of this recommendation will involve an impairment of your fir,,e protection. Please notify the IRI's Los Angeles Office, 505 South Main Street, Suite 750, Orange, CA 92668, (714) 835-7778 at least 48 hours before starting this work. PLANS**: Completion of this recommendation requires the review and acceptance of detailed working drawings and necessary supporting calculations. All fire protection equipment should be listed by a recognized testing laboratory. All installations should be designed in accordance with applicable NFPA Standards unless modified by an IRI interpretation guide. Duplicate sets of drawings and specifications should be sent to IRI's Los Angeles Office, 505 South Main Street, Suite 750, Orange, CA 92668 for review. IRI's acceptance should be secured before construction or installation begins. Recommendation No. 84-4 was removed as non-applicable. The rooms have been sprinklered.
