March 9, 1959 Mr. Bynum Turner Ethyl Corporation 100 Park Avenue, New York 17, New York Dear Bynum; I have finally finished the memorandum or report on the evidence relating to the fourth miltiliter of tetraethyl lead, for the ublic Health Service and its Special Committee, and it will be on its way as soon as it can be multilithed. Mean while, I would like to know from you how you wish it distributed within the Corporation, or whether you wi3h merely to have me send you a certain number of copies for distribution according to your own judgment. I shall be guided by your wishes. There is a specific point, with reference to the distribution on which I need your advice. Howard Hesselberg was here on Wednesday March 4th, and he knew, of course, of the preparation of the report. He wishes to have a copy of it as soon as possible, for his guidance - not for Quoting it to anyone - in connection with some problems which he expects to have to meet at an early date on the West Coast. I should suppose that you would wish him, as well as Dick Scales, to have copies without delay, but again, I refer the matter to you. The report is a document of about sixtyfive, double spaced (8-|-xll) pages, and it is so put together as to serve as a reference work for some time to come. As I began to work on it, I decided, despite the delay involved in completing such a task, that it should be fairly complete, well presented and well documented, so as not to be challenged successfully, if there should be any move, at any time, in that direction. I suspect that this may have been some concern in your mind, and perhaps in others, that so long a time was required to get the job done, but I have done the best I could to hurry it along.
