CMA 015517 BFG54701 U gn EPIDEMIOLOGIC STUD^ This program at Michigan institute of Industrial Health was dertaken in behalf of 19 member and 2 non-member companies. It is ^ing directed by a Task Group of MCA's Occupational health Committee. Since the report of September 10, 1968, the Institute has advised all participating companies of suspected casm* of Raynaud's phenomenon. There is strong suspicion that the poly^cleening operation pight be contributing to cases found in five companies, A draft of the final report for review by the Task Group is expected in December, and it may be appropriate then for this study to be reported in an open meeting of the Occupational Health Committee, aanufacturers of FVC resin, and representatives of th University of Michigan. Additional presentations will be made to American Medical Association and the American Industrial Hygiene Association. WC - COMBUSTION PRODUCTS Supplementing report of September 4, 1968, the Secretary ad vised that this USFH study is well underway, all samples have been supplied as agreed, and it is expected the industry representatives will meet with USFH in Cincinnati during February, 1969 to consider the significance of their findings* In a related study, the corrosion problem resulting from PVC fires has became of considerable concern in the .United States and Europe.
