Billy and Tate, On behalf of NACWA and our public clean water utility members, I want to thank you for meeting with us today. We appreciate your willingness to explore opportunities to enhance the water sector's ability to effectively, efficiently, and sustainably address aging infrastructure and manage regulatory compliance using flexible and affordable approaches.
America's future economic strength depends on sufficient investments made today in water infrastructure. While local governments will continue to bear most of the financial burden, all levels of government must be part of the solution. Increased funding and regulatory reform are needed to enable utilities to most effectively serve their communities and ratepayers by ensuring the best environmental and public health return for each ratepayer dollar invested - with an overall focus on net environmental benefit outcomes.
