Kehoe Dear Dr. Kehoe: In accordance with our understanding, I endeavored to discuss the matter of proportioning gasoline with Major Starrett of the Quartermasters Corps in Washington this week. I was un able to locate him and found that his activity, namely, gather ing such information^had been discontinued and his force disbanded. Also, I was informed that Major Starrett was taken off active service and put on detached service. I think it quite likely that the O.P.M. may write a letter to those companies who were requested to furnish informa tion, informing them whether or not the data is still desirable. rest. Bor the present, I think we can safely let the matter Yours very truly. OELsGCL HE 0022730
