First of all, I agree we should hold up the publi cation of the chicken work until the current study is completed. . The only other consent I have of substance is that I wish we could work in several paragraphs reviewing the Treon work on vapors published in 1956 (see en closed xerox copy of reprint). A logieal place for a review of those data would be at the top of the 3rd page of your review paper, before your paragraph at the top which begins with *During succeeding years little informaJiifia_was reported concerning the toxlcblpgy of tfie^FClTvmtil McLaughlin etal, 1963, etc." Moat of the review articles on the PCB's have failed to indicate awareness of the Treon work. I believe this la beoause the Rleebroughs, Peakalls, eto., eto. - the environmentalists -- have not encountered the American industrial Hygiene Association Quarterly in the review of the literature nor is it likely that they ever heard of the AIKA. In any case, I think the work is worthy of review even though it was inhalation data particularly since Drinker's earlier work in *37 1* frequently mentioned and this again conoemed inhalation. Actually the ACOIH established the Threshold Limit Values based on Treon's work rather than the earlier Drinker work. I believe we may have arrived at our high dietary level of 100 ppm in the studies done at Bio-Test based on the Treon work rather than Drinker's. George Levinsksas is reviewing each of the papers to see if you, Kep and I have missed typo's and he may well suggest some grammatical changes itfiich we will enter on our copy and send xerox's to you and Kep. I hope to get copies of all of the studies in the hands of Bill Papageorge, Scott Tucker and the lawyers next week.
