Provided CBI warning to facility The following information was obtained verbally from Lee and Danielle Williams unless otherwise noted. Process Description: Eagle Metal Finishing LLC (Eagle Metal Finishing) polishes and buffs steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and zinc dicast. There are 8 buffers and 15 polishers. The buffers use cotton wheels and animal grease compounds as a lubricant. The buffers are controlled by 2 dust collectors. The polishers use aluminum oxide pads, and the grit ranges from 180 to 600. There are approximately 5 dust collectors that control emissions from the polishers. The facility changes the bags once every 2 to 4 weeks and inspects the ducting system approximately once every 2 months. Staff Interview: Eagle Metal Finishing operates 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and there are 38 employees. The facility does not perform electroplating and does not polish any plated parts. Eagle Metal Finishing also do not record maintenance/bag replacements. The facility also does not have an air permit through WDNR. TOUR INFORMATION EPA Tour of the Facility: Yes Data Collected and Observations: The polishers, buffers, and dust collectors were not operating during the tour. EPA noticed that the dust collectors for the polishers exhaust outdoors. Photos and/or Videos: were not taken during the inspection. Field Measurements: were not taken during this inspection.
