T o d ay 's D ate: A ugust 2, 2017 (original request was subm itted via email on June 26, 2017) M eeting Date: October 19, 2017 M eeting Time: W e are flexible --the m eeting starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00. Ideally, we would prefer to have the Administrator at the meeting before 2:00 p.m. (some folks could leave a little early to catch flights back home). Requested Location (if offsite, please list address, parking instructions, etc.): It would be at our offices, which are located in C rystal City --2451 C rystal Drive, A rlington, VA 22202 --suite 1000. Parking is available in the garage below the building. Requestor: American Public Power Association (APPA) Purpose o f the M eeting: On O ctober 19, APPA will be hosting a m eeting for its CEO Climate Change & G eneration Policy Task Force --a group of approxim ately 30 public pow er CEOs that own generation and have been very involved in form ulating the Association's policy positions on climate change (legislative and regulatory). W e would like the A dm inistrator to brief our CEOs on EPA 's efforts to repeal and replace the Clean Power Plan. Background on the Meeting: Typically, the Task Force meets twice a year to hear from speakers on a host of climate and Clean Air A ct-related issues and to provide APPA w ith feedback on comments to EPA or policy positions to take on these environmental issues. The group has previously met with EPA officials from the Obama Administration and would greatly like to meet with A dm inistrator Pruitt to discuss these im portant environmental issues.
R ole o f the A d m inistrator: T o provide our CEOs w ith an update on EPA's agenda on climate (and any other related Clean Air Act matters) and answer questions raised by our CEOs. W e would also invite the Adm inistrator to view the meeting as an opportunity for him to ask questions of and seek feedback from our CEOs.
A ttendees: A PPA President & CEO Sue Kelly and other senior level A PPA staff and CEOs from public power utilities and joint action agencies in states such as Oklahoma, South Carolina, Georgia,
