Findings show there are still problems with the monitoring system. (strip chart and computer not agreeing) 2) Monitored the incinerator vent stack when HC1 and chlorine were detected in tne air. (Light ends were being burnt at the time) Higher than normal levels of both were detected. HC1 y* 2.0 ppm Cl2 .6 ppm 3) . Took gas samples from the neutralization pit area to measure CO? levels. Concentration ranged from 260 ppm to 4900 ppm. TLV for COg is 5000 ppm. 4) Did study on the deregulation of regulated areas #2 and #4. Regulated area 2 is the loading rack - #4 are the loading pumps. The data indicates regulated area #2 should be deregulated while regulated area #4 should not. More work will need to be done to pinpoint the location of the exposure in these areas. 5) Monitored sandblasting operations to measure respirable dust concentrations. Results show unusually high readings which are believed to be biased in some way. Have filters in Ponca City to run silica tests so as to determine the amount of silica dust present. 6) Placed sipin pumps with charcoal tubes on tops of EDC tanks to possibly deregulate them. Data generated-.looked good except for T-453 which has a leak that requires immediate correction.
