DATE SUBJECT August 28, 1973 Termination Physical Examinations It is my understanding that the law (Paragraph 1910.93A Asbestos, (J-4)) requires: "The employer to provide, or make available, within 30 calendar days before or after the termination of employment of any employee engaged in an occupation exposed to airborne concentrations of asbestos fibers, a comprehensive medical examination." I have urged that every employee be given such a physical and would suggest that this matter be discussed with Mr. Raetzsch and others who are concerned and that we start as soon as possible at least with the asbestos exposed employees.
