A key paragraph in the standards had to do with la b e lin g requirements: (?) Caution labpl?--( 0 ^ebeling. The problem, in t h is ca s e , Is the shipment o f asbestos containing brake lin in g s or clu tch fa c in g s where in many cases subsequent operations w ill be performed--c u ttin g , grooving, d r illin g , and grin d in g. The Chairman ind icates that these subsequent operations can produce airborne concentrations of asbestos fib e rs in excess o f th e current exposure lim its (5 fib e rs/ cc TWA, or 10 fibera/co c e llin g ).
