McCormick: This has reference to your request of February 26 for a statement from this office concerning the acceptability of Hycar 39194 as a cover stock for belting material used for conveying meat and meat food products in federally inspected meat packing establishments. A rubber compound formulated as described in your letter is composed only of substances which have been demonstrated to be suitable for the proposed purpose. Accordingly, belting covered with your Hycar 39194 will be accepted for conveying meat and meat foocf products bearing the marks of Federal meat inspection. Sincerely yours, R. H.
