Pasquino RP-29-88_____ - Asbestos Air Sample Results Air samples were collected on November 28, 1988 to determine workplace exposure to asbestos in the breezeway of the South High Pressure Lab (SHPL). As shown below, results t were below the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 0.2 ; fibers/cc and no work changes are necessary. ! Personal and area samples were collected during the [ removal of approximately 20 feet of tubing wrapped with asbestos sock. The tubing was located in the breezeway of the South High Pressure Lab (SHPL), outside of Cells 0 and 1. The removal procedure was completed in approximately 15 minutes. Samples were collected using Supelco PAS air sampling pumps and 25 millimeter (mm), 0.8 micron, mixed cellulose ester filter cassettes with 50 mm extension. Samples were analyzed by an American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) accredited laboratory using NIOSH Method 7400.
