The scope of the inspection was to determine if the facility is in compliance with the Clean Water Act (CWA), and to identify and document unauthorized discharges of produced wastewater (brine) to a water of the United States. FACILITY DESCRIPTION There was a sign indicating that this facility is currently owned by JnK Energy Corporation and is the Grace Jennings Estate Lease. I observed two storage tanks and a separator at the facility. Section II - OBSERVATIONS I observed that there was inadequate secondary containment walls (berms) around the storage tank area. The berms were very low and inadequate due to erosion. I observed vegetation within a foot or two feet of the tanks inside the secondary containment area. I observed no spills and no staining at the facility. Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN There was inadequate secondary containment berms and vegetation within the secondary containment area. Section IV - FOLLOW UP EPA Region 6 Water Enforcement will refer this facility to EPA Region 6 SPCC program.
