Kehoe, Dear Dr. Kehoe: Mr. Krick, one of our field representatives, advises he made a contact recently with a Dr. Richard Pomeroy, who is a dentist located at 726 Fifth Avenue, New York. This gentleman is making a thorough study to determine if the marketing and use of Ethyl Gasoline has any influence on gum trouble such as pyorrhea. In order to secure the necessary subjects he has asked certain service station operators to to refer anyone to him who might have had trouble with their gums. - It is assumed if Dr. Pomeroy should find any con nection between Ethyl Gasoline and trouble with the gums that he probably would wish to publish his findings in one of the dental journals. It is difficult to tell just how it is best to handle a matter of this kind. If we approach Dr. Pomeroy we might make all the more effort to develop something unpleasant to us. On the other hand, I have no doubt that you will have an interest in the work he is carrying on and any possible results that are obtained. What do you think of the sugges tion of your arranging to call on him the next time you happen to be in this vicinity, or possibly if you do not have any plans that bring you this way, having one of the doctors on your staff do so.
