The following comments are offered: I. Frequency of Inspection The OSHA standard states that respirators used for emergencies shall be inspected at least monthly or after each use. You may wish to indicate on your check list the type of inspection being performed, i.e., whether a routine monthly check or after an emergency. II. Face piece Under face piece the check list should be specific and check the tightness^of connections and condition of face piece. III. Warning Device An empty column should be titled warning device and each warning device checked. IV. Accessibility The standards state that emergency respirators should be accessible at all times, therefore another column should be headed accessibility.
