Herzog \ In your letter of November 26th to Mr* Harne;* you point out that at a cost of 117$ per pound this material uould not be economically used in Endurance unless you replaced all the 18-M leaded zinc with it* You noted that in recent formulations we had dropped the lead content in Endurance paint by using the 18-M leaded zinc in stead of the previous blond of leaded zinc and loads Please note that we did not reduce the cost of the Endurance fornult. by merely dropping the lead content* Active lead content was kept the same; all that u q reduced was the inactive lead.
