One of the final phases of their study will be to contact, probably by telephone, selected "control people" - these are people of the same race and sex who were hired at Union Carbide at approximately the same time as one of the cases. You are one of the "control people" used in the NIOSH study and may be contacted by NIOSH or their contractors (possibly EQUIFAX). They will ask one or two simple questions pertaining to your place of residence during your employment by Union Carbide. Other pertinent vital statistics and occupational work history has already been furnished through our Employee Records Division. If you are contacted by NIOSH, or their contractors, we hope you can respond to their questions.
