Our interest is in the lagging cloths used and, even though only a small percen of the dust would normally come from lagging, we would like to comment on them. Lagging cloth currently purchased by the Navy to SS-C-466e Spec fication can be greatly improved. These cloths are linty. A variety of finishes are available that will render these cloths practically lint-free. This is accomplished by adding low percentages of binder resins. There is a possibility that the Asbestos Textile Institute may make definite recommendations, and we would<appreciate the opportunity to work with you in whatever way may be desirable from a technical view.
