Hayley-
I hope all is well. I'm writing on behalf of our President, Matt Lucey, to request a meeting with Administrator Pruitt. Matt would like to walk through some of the solutions to escalating RIN costs that we identified in our comments for the 2018 Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) Renewable Volume Obligation (RVO). PBF Energy is one of the nation's largest independent refiners, with refineries in five states - Delaware, New Jersey, Ohio, Louisiana and California that process a total of about 900,000 barrels per day of crude oil. PBF is actually the largest refiner by total capacity on the East Coast. We have approximately 3,000 employees. As a merchant refiner, skyrocketing RIN costs have a significant negative impact on PBF Energy.
Matt's schedule is fairly flexible. He is NOT available 10/10-10/13, 10/26, or 10/30-10/31. However, he can be available any other dates in September and October. Please let me know what days/times the Administrator may have available at your earliest convenience and thank you in advance for your consideration.
