REQUIREMENTS FOR ASBESTOS EXPOSURE Tou should be aware that we are presently exceeding the exposure limit, set by the Occupational Safety and Health Act, for asbestos. We are taking the following actions to comply with these requirements: 1. Providing chest x-rays prior to employment, annually and at the time of termination. 2. Providing approved respirators for use in exposed areas. 3* Rotation of schedules to minimize exposure. li. Conduct research work to eliminate the use of asbestos, as was achieved with the new 6373 L. 5. Install a new system of dust collection which will reduce the exposure to within acceptable limits. This should be completed in the Fall of this year. 6. Enclose lunch room. 7. Improve handling of work clothes.
