We have now heard from the Travelers in re
spect to inquiry contained in your letter of May 4th, and learn
that the $2,000 amount mentioned, is to be apportioned among
the several carriers on the basis of the amount of exposure each
one had.
As the Armstrong Cork Company only had a small
period of exposure, the amount under your policy will be
relatively small.
The Travelers have promised to advise us as soon as a definite conclusion is reached and we will, of course, pass the information on to you.
Sincerey

Asbestosls Claim
Workmen's Compensation
A recent inquiry of the Travelers Insurance Company in respect to the status of the above old case reveals the following information:
As yet, the case has not been disposed of, although the Travelers haye reached a point where the attorney is willing to accept the sum of $2,000 plus the medical bills to close out the file.
There are several carriers on this case and .. the companies are all discussing the disposition. It is
possible that the matter will be disposed of within the nextfew weeks. As soon as this matter is cleared, we will advise you of the disposition.
Sincerely

Dear Mr. Schiedt:
Workmen's Compensation Claim Harry Haake, Conneiccttsicut _ Abbestosis Claim
PlhriWMMIIHSMMffMa
We inquired of the Travelers Insurance Company as to the present status of this claim, and have their reply dated July 10th which reads as follows:
"Kindly he advised that there has been no activity on this case until recently when Attorney E. A. Massey of Hartford appeared in the picture and has now assigned the claim for an informal conference on September 22nd, 1958 at 11:AM. As you know, there are numerous defendants involved in this case and the probabilities are that some reasonable adjustment will be worked out on a pro rata basis."
The above is for your information and file.
Sincerely

Commissioner Leo J. Noonan 54 Church Street Hartford, Connecticut
He: Harry Haake vs. Robert Keasby, et al
Dear Commissioner:
I am in receipt of a notice of hearing in this matter for September 22, 1958. We represent the Employers Liability Assurance Corp. in this matter.
Hubert O'Keefe was formerly handling this matter and from our file it would appear that at the last hearing on November 29, 1957 we were to be let out of this case, as any exposure we had would have been in the State of West Virginia.
Will you kindly advise me whether or not we are to attend this hearing which is now scheduled.
Very truly yours,
O'KEEFE, JOHNSON & O'KEEFE
