Son* I'MO employee* and pensioner* were screened. Of these, 37 vra found to have possible asbestos-related abnormalities. Of the 37, 12 were diagnosed as benign asymptomatic (a condition not malignant and showing no symptom# to the individual) and 5 were diagnosed ss benign symptomatic (a condition not malignant and shewing some sympeoms to the individual). The remaining 20 individuals showed abnormalities which were definitely not asoestos related. Malignant diseases were not found. -- A follow-up program includes yearly chest x-rays or chest x-rays every six months for those where potential problems are Indicated.
