The study was requested by an employee complaining of dust . in the environment. *-: ~ 0 s The results of the study are recorded on the attached Table I. They i n d icated concentrations of t h e asbestos dust to be within the recommended threshold limit value. It should basftoted that the dust counts in the w o r k i n g areas of your employees contained nuisance dusts. These inert or nuisance 'particulates that occur in the working environment ordinarily produce no specific effects upon prolonged inhalation. The areas in which your employees are exposed consists of metal rafters and metal beams fireproofed with asbestos. These areas are unprotected and nearly all the workers are repeatedly escposad to the asbestos dust, day after day. In order to prevent any possible health hazards, the follow ing recommendation is made: 1. C o mplete the ceiling ^installation by installing finished ceilings in the two serviee .buildings and the mail room in which your employees are exposed to floating asbestos dust.
