Box 5150 Norwalk, CT 06856 Dear Ms. Balodis: This letter is in response to your request regarding the potential for Vista DPA Specialty Alkylate to contain 0SHA identified carcinogens at levels greater than 0.1%, Our hazard assessment indicates that Vista's DPA does not require a carcinogenic label under the requirements of the 0SHA Hazard Communication Standard. This determination is based on analytical data we have available and the manufacturing process used to produce DPA. Currently available mass spectrophotometry data indicates no detectable levels (less than 0.1%) of specific polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons known to be carcinogens. Furthermore, the processing conditions during the production of DPA would preclude the presence of other identified carcinogens above regulated levels.
