Minutes of Meeting of the EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE held _____________________May 18. 1939_____________________ PRESENT: Messrs. Rockwell, Rowe, Sidford, Simon and Warshow. ABSENT: Messrs. Croft and Garesche. The minutes of the meeting of May 11, 1939 were duly approved. On separate motions the following resolutions were each unanimously adopted: RESOLVED, that Charles Simon be and he hereby is appointed an Assistant Secretary of the Company to hold office during the pleasure of the Board. RESOLVED, that the officers of the Company be and they hereby are authorized and directed to increase the Company's annual contribution toward the 1939 budget of the Lead Industries Association by the amount of $198.00 for the Lumber Products-Better Paint Campaign and $1209.00 for the Plumbing Promotion Program, in accordance with the Association's revised tonnage schedule. RESOLVED, that the following officials of the Atlantic Branch of the Company be and they hereby are authorized to sign all checks, drafts or other orders for the payment of money drawn against the Bradley Works Payroll and Petty Cash Accounts of said Branch with Brooklyn Trust Company, this authorization superseding all previous authorizations with respect to said bank accounts: E. H. Norman, Superintendent, F. M. Coppersmith, Assistant Superintendent, Harry W. Dickerson, Comptroller, and Harry G. Matthews, Assistant Comptroller, any one of them. RESOLVED, that authority be and it hereby is given to the management of the Atlantic Branch, in accordance with letter of Mr. J. G. C. McNair, Manager, dated May 17, 1939, to carry on negoti ations for the purchase of Linseed Oil Mill Machinery from the Mann Brothers plant, Buffalo, without, however, committing the Company to the actual purchase until further authorization. 0000-NL1-0000210U .1: RESOLVED, that pursuant to resolution of the Board of Directors adopted January 21, 1932 per mission be and it hereby is granted to Atlantic Branch for the transfer to Non-Operating Property Account of the barge "G. D. DORSEY" as of February 1, 1939 and the barge "DUTCH BOY" as of March 7, 1939, in conformity with letter of Mr. J. G. C. McNair, Manager, dated May 16, 1939. RESOLVED, that the sum of $760.30, including trade-in allowance of $455.00 on old car replaced, be and it hereby is appropriated for the purchase of a Chevrolet De Luxe Coupe for use of Atlantic Branch salesman, Mr. Wilson A. Seibert, in con formity with letter of Mr. J. G. C. McNair, Manager, dated May 11, 1939. RESOLVED, that the sun of $774*83, including trade-in allowance of $210. on old truck replaced, be and it hereby is appropriated for the purchase of a Ford 1-Ton Truck for use at the Long Beach plant of Pacific Coast Branch, in conformity with letter of Mr. R. P. Prentys, Manager, dated May 12, 1939. RESOLVED, that the sum of $2427.00 be and it hereby is appropriated to cover cost of extending Power Lines from Tower No. 6 to Milling Department at St. Louis Plant, Titanium Division, in conformity with formal application dated May 10, 1939. RESOLVED, that the sum of $1469.00 be and it hereby is appropriated to cover cost of repairs to No. 2 Oliver Washing Filter at Sayreville Plant, Titanium Division, in conformity with formal appli cation dated May 10, 1939* RESOLVED, that the sum of $1486.00 be and it hereby is appropriated to cover cost of repairs to No. 2 Lead Plate Filter at Sayreville Plant, Titanium Division, in conformity with formal application dated May 10, 1939* RESOLVED, that the sum of $1257.50, including turn-in allowance of $265.00 on old machines replaced, be and it hereby is appropriated for the purchase of one Model 2700 Addressograph and one Model 6281 Graphotype for use at New York Office, Titanium Division, in conformity with formal application dated May 10, 1939. 0000-NLI-000021013 \ RESOLVED, that the proposed expenditure of the sum of $500.00 by Ponte Vedra Company to cover cost of reconditioning drains and ditches at Ponte Vedra Beach, in conformity with letter of Mr. James R. Stockton, President, Telfair Stockton & Company, Inc. dated May 13, 1939, be and it hereby is approved. RESOLVED, that the proposed expenditure of the sum of $2600.00 by Ponte Vedra Company for the construction and equipment of additional space for servant quarters at Ponte Vedra, in conformity with application of Mr. James R.
