This stream currently flows into the sanitary sewer system. Because of the various chemicals in this stream, it is unsuitable for the sewer system. This project will involve the installation of a new line and a block valve to close off the existing line. This project will be funded by miscellaneous under $15M funds. By copy of this to J. R. This sink drainage also includes disposed lab samples. Keeping organics from entering this sewer line is consistent with Vista's policy of eliminating potential sources of groundwater contamination. To prevent organics from entering this sanitary sewer line, the line carrying the water and chemicals from the storage tank will be rerouted into T-110. The line will be split at a point closest to T-110 and the existing line will be blocked with a block valve. A new 3" Kynar line will run from this point directly into T-110. This water will flow from T-110 into the steam stripper and wastewater treatment and will bypass the sewer system completely, thus eliminating any potential for groundwater contamination. CWH 000000367 Work List 1) Install a 3" tee on the existing line at the northeast corner of the main control room. 2) Install a 3"-150# diaphragm block valve immediately downstream of the tee in Item 1 in the existing line. 3) Run a 3" Kynar line from the tee in Item 1 through the piperack to the block valve on the existing nozzle on the south side of T-110. Include a 3/4" bleed valve downstream of the tee in Item 1/ and a 3/4" bleed valve and a 3"-150# check valve upstream of the block valve on T-110.
