CHROME YELLOW AFTER DARKENING
In view of the recent -*662-0 darkening problems In a cobalt varnish drier, we recommend that the plant test a minimum of one lot from each Chrome Yellow run in #12 Building for this property (TP-7Q2*4-l) This should be done for all Chrome Yellows which are sold to the ink industry, It Is our understanding that A. J. Hughes checked recent production cf all of cur Chrome Yellow line and found it satisfactory. However, we cannot chance running into this difficulty again on any of our line with this customer. The Y-662-D difficulty has required considerable technical time and money to solve. The complexity of the prob lem was probably greatly increased because we did not have any
record of past performance on this property, So, although run
ning this test on each run will Increase cost slightly, we believe it will be far less expensive in the long run.
If you are in agreement, please make the necessary changes to the Production Control Test Sheet.
