Asbestos Textile Bridgeport Mr. M. V. Oliver, No. Charleston Newport News March 10, 1971 Memo No. 71-463 On March 5 we were given the sad news that we did not receive any of this large contract. The reason being that our material was too dusty and, therefore,'did not meet their specifications. This loss cannot be blamed on any person. Joel Frampton finally talked us into giving him a decent quotation after many years of just quoting a ridiculously high figure. Next year we will be ready for this contract and our material will be approved. We would like Joel Frampton to try to get to the bottom of the reason our material was not approved. This can be accom plished by getting their testing procedures and then make certain we come out with a cloth that is sufficiently dust free to pass their specifications. This I am sure John Hawkins can do. William A. Mitchell kgo cc: Messrs. M. Q. Scovcroft D. J. Maxwell, No. Charleston J. W. Frampton, Jr.
