EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

A meeting of the Executive Committee of the
Lead Industries Association was held at the Down
Town Association on Tuesday, January 14, 193U, at
12:30 P. M.
Present:

The minutes of the meeting of January 7, 1929,
were approved.
A Budget of expenditures covering the general
overhead, or activities of interest to all the
members, of the Lead Industries Association for 1930

NOTE - TO THE SUGGESTED BUDGET FOR 1930 SHOULD BE ADDED SUCH FUNDS A3 THE DIRECTORS DEEM DESIRABLE TO EXFEND ON SPECIAL ACTIVITIES OF PRIMARY INTEREST TO VARIOUS GROUPS OF MEMBERS.
It was moved, seconded and carried- that thd budget for 1930 as given above and covering the general activities of the Lead Industries Association of interest to all members be adopted.

It was also moved, seconded and carried that
the Treasurer be authorized to mail quarterly state
ments of assessments to members covering the first
quarter of 1930, equal to the statements covering the
lass quarter of 1929, making adjustments in subsequent
statements when full returns regarding lead production
or consumption of members are received.
Mr. Brush offered to place at the disposal of
the Lead Industries Association some of the business
advertising space, now used by the American Smelting
and Refining Company, with the idea of giving lead
publicity in conjunction with its own copy and suggested
that other member companies now using formal advertise
ments might be v;iliing to do likewise thereby giving
leal desirable publicity, and at the same time improv
ing their own formal announcements. This matter was
referred to the Secretary.
Mr. Brush also suggested that the Association
prepare, when feasible, a permanent record of the
statistics gathered, preferably in loose leaf form,
a suggestion which was referred to the Secretary for
action. The meeting adjourned at 2:30 P. M.
