RE: ASBESTOS SURVEYI
I have attached a completed Asbestos Survey form as you requested. It lists those asbestos-containing items which I found in our stores catalog as operating supplies. While the list includes most of the items regularly used at Rockdale, there may be special items which would show only on a spare parts list for specific equipment.
Mr. D. D. McGregor has also asked for information concerning specific smelting-related items and I have attached a copy of my reply for your information.

List should Include specifications for all asbestos products currently being purchased and used. It should not Include previously Installed asbestos materials that are still 1n place but for which non-asbestos replacements are currently being used.
Should be answered 1n light of currently available Information. A product will be considered capable of generating significant airborne concentrations of asbestos fibers if the measured or estimated fiber con centrations are 1n excess of 0.1 fiber per cc (eight-hour time-weighted average). In responding to this question, 1t will be necessary to consider the possibility of dust being generated not only during Instal lation, but also during use and, where applicable, dismantling.
