DUCOTE - #80 All committee members were present. The following items were discussed: 1. During the Methanol fire, some disposable air masks not approved for asbestos dust areas were obtained from Stores stock and used in asbestos areas. Should all but approved masks be used' Painting masks can not be eliminated. Stores will mark the masks "Not for asbestos use." 2. What is feeling of group on color coding or identifying installed insulation systems as a plant requirement' 3. Status of preliminary function machine. The machine is here and in use. 4. Comments on revision to plant procedure on handling asbestos-containing materials. (EDS 76) Please get them to H. J. DuCote by August 24, 1974. 5. Two air samples since original made during the month. Additional manpower is available; therefore, sampling will increase. Bobby Walker ran additional air sample. Results not available at this time. 6. New business. 7. One safety meeting on asbestos handling was conducted. 8. Salvage Yard operation with respect to asbestos on pipe.
