Section I - INTRODUCTION
G&G Mex, LLC Inspection Date 12/11/2024
PURPOSE OF THE INSPECTION
I, EPA Region 6 inspector Lee McMillan accompanied by inspector Justin Mullenix and Gerardo Acosta began an investigation based on a 2022 Tip and Complaint. We arrived at what we believed to be the office of G & G Mex located at 519 Houston, Laredo, TX 78040 at 12:12 PM on December 9, 2024. We discovered that this location was formerly the office of Hiram Vasquez, Jr., P.C., an accounting firm and registered agent for G & G Mex, LLC. The office is now occupied by LV Express, a trucking company. Hiram Vasquez, Jr., P.C., changed its office location to 6425 Polaris Dr., Ste. 1, Laredo, Texas 78041. I arrived at the office of Hiram Vasquez, Jr., P.C., to conduct an unannounced for-cause pesticides inspection to investigate G & G Mex, LLC at 12:33 PM. After arriving at the location, the staff informed us that G & G Mex doesn't have a physical location in the United States. I was provided with the name of the owner and a Mexican phone number. With the assistance of Gerardo Acosta, we were able to contact Ms. Elsa Garcia, the owner of G&G Mex. On December 10, 2024, Ms. Garcia provided her broker's information: Bustamante Brokers located in McAllen, TX.
FACILITY DESCRIPTION
G&G Mex, LLC an import/export business founded in 2018. G&G Mex is primarily engaged in the retail sale of children's and infants' clothing, furnishings, and accessories. The company has approximately 2 employees and has annual revenue of approximately $30K.
Section II - OBSERVATIONS
On December 11, 2024, EPA Region 6 inspector Lee McMillan accompanied by inspector Justin Mullenix travelled to McAllen, TX. I arrived at the Bustamante Brokers to conduct an unannounced for-cause pesticides inspection to investigate G & G Mex, LLC at 11:45 AM. I presented credentials and asked for a representative of Bustamante Brokers. I was informed that Mr. Dionicio Bustatmante was not available due to a meeting with Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Saul Martinez, a data clerk and representative of Prime Cold Storage where Bustamante Brokers rents an office was able to assist us with the investigation. Mr. Martinez was presented with our Notice of Inspection. I determined during the inspection that this Prime Cold Storage location, which primarily stores fruits and vegetables did not have any G&G Mex products on site. No photos were taken.
At approximately 3:20 PM on December 11, 2024, EPA Region 6 inspector Lee McMillan accompanied by inspector Justin Mullenix arrived at Amigos Cold Storage located at 901 E. Produce Rd., Hidalgo, TX 78557, based on the information on the invoice included in the Tip and Complaint. I arrived at the location to conduct an unannounced for-cause pesticides inspection to investigate G&G Mex, LLC. Once on site I was able to locate Mr. Firmato Gomez, the facility supervisor. I presented my credentials and

G&G Mex, LLC Inspection Date 12/11/2024 the Notice of Inspection. Mr. Gomez was able to direct us to the area where G&G Mex products were being held in the warehouse. In the warehouse I observed to pallets of Clorox Ropa products imported from Mexico. There were approximately 40 boxes per pallet and each box contained eight (8)-1.89 L bottles. The labeling was in Spanish. The labels stated, "Quita Manchas y Desinfecta"(translation: Removes Stains and Disinfects). The back of the label was also in Spanish. The back side of the label stated, "Elimina 99.9% de virus y bacterias de tu prendas" (translation: Eliminates 99.9% of viruses and bacteria from your clothes). The back label also had a white sticker placed on top of it titled, "Laundry - Stain Remover". (See Appendix 1). The tour concluded at 4:40 PM. Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN I conducted closing conference with Mr. Gomez at the Amigos Cold Storage facility at 4:48 PM on December 11, 2024. I observed 80 boxes each containing 8-1.89 L bottles of Clorox Ropa at the time of the inspection. The labels were in Spanish and did not comply with the FIFRA labeling requirements for pesticide registration. I concluded the inspection and exited the facility at 4:50 PM. Section IV - FOLLOW UP No additional information was received by EPA after exiting the Facility on December 11, 2024. Additional information regarding shipments and documentation is required to conclude this investigation. I will follow-up with Ms. Garcia the owner of G&G Mex, LLC.
