Pert of the program includes monitoring blood samples of personnel working with C-8. The purpose of this memo is to advise you cf a change in the analytical test method used to measure organic fluorine in blood An improved test using gas chromatography, which is specific to C-8 and believed no more accurately reflect the quantity of C-8 in the blood, has been developed. On the average, the new test method gives results about 282 higher cn the same sample chan results from the former test method (bomb, analysis). Within the next few days, personnel that have had blood analysis cade during the past few months will be given their own results from the new mechod. Please communicate this Information to your personnel. He will continue to Veep you informed about developments. Analysis of recent samples are in progress. Results of these tests will be communicated to each individual as soon as possible.
