Lohman - HQ Industrial Hygiene Survey Internal Correspondence A comprehensive industrial hygiene survey of your plant will be conducted in September by Galson Technical Services, Inc. The various airborne contaminants to be sampled/analyzed this time are asbestos, respirable silica, organic vapors, carbon monoxide, and nuisance dust. There will be no noise survey this year. The VCM sampling work will also be eliminated this year due to the good track records at Denison. The total sampling time for each airborne contaminant (except asbestos) is around four hours. The asbestos sampling time will be set at 12 hours to cover the duration of entire work shift as regulated by Federal OSHA. In addition, we will follow OSHA's suggestion by adopting a four-hour increment sampling strategy and the two samples With the greatest number of fibers/c.c. will be used to calculate the 8-hour time-weighted average.
