The v a r io u s arrangem ents were d is c u s s e d and i t was p o in te d out th a t i t would be much b e t t e r t o have the tr e n c h e s t o th e e a s t o f th e p r e s e n t h o u se . H owever, t h i s would e n t a i l c o n s id e r a b le road b u i l d in g , e t c . and Mr. Ryan s ta te d th a t th ey would p r e fe r to keep th e ir o p er a tio n in the low area w hich h as now b een d e v e lo p e d . C o llin s and A lla n M ille r Mr. Arand s u g g e s te d t h a t when th e y had one tr e n c h co m p leted from th e dumping o f th e w et w a ste m a t e r ia l o f th e l a s t th r e e m onths, t h a t i t may be a good idea to put a sh o rt shallow h ole 50 to 75 f e e t from th is in a d o w n -slo p in g manner t o s e e i f we a r e g e t t i n g any s u b s u r fa c e p o l l u t i o n . T h is we f e l t would be a v e r y good id ea and en cou raged them th a t su ch a b orin g would be very in t e r e s t in g . A f t e r th e m e e tin g a d i s c u s s i o n was h e ld w ith Mr. Fred Edlund snd we d i s c u s se d our p r e v io u s recom m endation o f th e depj> o b s e r v a t io n w e l l o f a p p r o x im a te ly 100 f e e t in d ep th w ith porous c a s in g .
