Note the consortium sponsors are not mentioned - consistent with what we heard from Henry Wang. The consortium held a conference call yesterday regarding outreach to the scientific and regulatory communities and the consortium technical committee now has the lead to move things forward. This will involve the compilation of names of individuals and institutions (such as the EPA, OSHA, NIOSH, Leukemia Society, American Cancer Society) who would have an interest in the study, seek concurrence from the oversight committee and then make formal contact via phone.email and possibly an open meeting. This is a reasonable beginning for the consortium, with the expectation of expanding the list of interested parties as we gain experience and confidence in the process. It is my understanding that a Shell plan will build on the consortium plan.
