As a part of your recently initiated conversion efforts in the Chicago pivotal region, we can report an early specification victory. The city of Des Plaines, Illinois (population 60,000+), situated in the northwest Chicago metropolitan area, has for the first time adopted specifications allowing PVC sanitary sewer products for all available pipe diameters. Previously, vitrified clay, concrete and iron were the only approved pipe products. While this victory does not conclude our efforts in the Chicago region, it does represent a successful battle in the longer war. We will keep you posted.
