Dear Doctor Blackburns I have an idea that you have been fairly busy, but inasmuch as I have a manuscript of yours, and have had no reply to my letter of November 23, I have just a little feeling of guilt lest I may have discouraged you, or perhaps have even offended you by what you may lave regarded as a rather blunt reply to your initial letter. In any case, let me assure you that I shall be very glad to see and talk with you if and when the opportunity presents itself, and that this might be done on the occasion of one of my trips to New York. I have deliberately stayed out of New York lately, in order to get as much work behind me as possible, but I shall be there in the near future for a day or two, and If you wish, we might meet and talk together. If you would drop me a line and let me know whether you can be reached at the address previously given, I shall make point of trying to meet with you in the not too distant future.
