8-hour Area TWA VCM Data Taken from the Bendix tapes Summary for October, 1982
This report is a summary of 2,279 samples of Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) 8-hour area data, taken from the Bendix continuous monitoring tapes, for the month of October, 1982.
A. Non-Regulated Areas (Tables I and II)
1. Four fundred five (405) samples (91, 8%) were below .5 ppm VCM, 27 samples (6.1%) were from .51 to ] .0 ppm, and 9 samples (2.1%) were over 1.0 ppm. This was a decre ase from the 3.1% over 1.0 ppm in September.
2. The overall plant average for non-regulated areas decreased from .28 to .24 ppm.
B. Regulated Areas (Tables III and IV)
1. Four hundred thirty nine (439) samples (26.4%) were below .5 ppm, 129 samples (7.8%) were from .51 to 1.0 ppm, and 1,094 samples (65.8%) were over 1.0 ppm. This was a decrease from the 69.0% over 1.0 ppm in September.
2. The monomer area increased from .3 to .5 ppm, upstairs polymer increased from 5.5 to 7.0 ppm, polymer walkway increased from 8.0% to 8.2%, and downstairs polymer increased from 14,1 to 14.2%.
C. The overall plant average of regulated and non-regulated areas increased from 5.25 to 5.69 ppm.
