Brown 202-526-6274 OBJECTIVES Follow-up on HPP sample sent May 28, 1974. OBSERVATIONS Mr. Brown wanted to evaluate ffP in a caulk formulation. The project died before he ever got a chance to look at it. He has an opportunity to formulate a new caulk now and HPP will be evaluated. He had some questions regarding the amount of shear necessary to break up the pellets and I assured him a Banbury would do nicely. Gave him G. L. Dickson's name and he wants to look him up at the SPI. RECOMMENDED ACTION GLD - Be on the lookout for Mr. Brown. If not seen suggest you call him in 4-6 weeks. Typed 1/10/75 ds Re the attached ROC: 1. The Navy has their own asbestos regulations, lifted largely verbatum from the OSHA regulations. 2. The Navy has a positive action program to eliminate asbestos containing materials. They have not pushed the panic button and ordered asbestos insulation replaced on all ships. 3.
