RE: Heavy Metal Analytical Data from the Smurfit Stone Mill Site
Commissioner Strohmaier: The EPA team is reviewing the data and we will have a summary to you by June 14, 2018 or sooner. EPA will meet with the PRPs next week for discussions on completion the final Contingency Plan for the SmurfitStone Site. We are working toward getting a draft final to stakeholders for review and comment by the mid to end of July timeframe. The PRPs will continue to function under the Interim Contingency Plan until the final plan is complete. The EPA and DEQ representatives will be at the Smurfit-Stone CAG meeting tonight at Frenchtown. Thanks for the update, Sara. Do you have an ETA on the completion of EPA analysis of the data? Similarly, any proposed date for the completion of the contingency plan (as opposed to the interim plan that was just completed)?
