Tom Connelly and I may have mentioned to you when we visited earlier this year that ACS has been convening industry chemistry sector Chief Technology Officers for a day and a half meeting here in Washington, DC for the past three years. This year the CTO Summit will be September 12 & 13 at The Capital Hilton, 100116th St NW.
We start the first day with one-on-one meetings between the CTOs, have an evening reception and then the following day a program of speakers, etc. We usually involve Members of Congress, federal agency representatives, as well as leaders from other science organizations, embassies, trade associations etc. So far the following companies have confirmed their attendance - Air Liquide, Ascend, BASF, Dow, Dupont, Evonic, FMC, FXI, GE Global Research, GCP Technologies, Grasim Industries, Honeywell, PPG, Procter & Gamble, Royal DSM, Solvay, W.L. Gore. We are still awaiting answers from over a dozen other companies. Attached is the CTO Summit program agenda book from last year to give you a better sense of participants, program, etc.

I am reaching out to you to see if you would agree to be the lunch speaker on Wednesday, September 13. The time slot for lunch is 12:00 - 1:30 PM, and our format is typically 30 minutes of presentation followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. I know the CTOs would value learning more about EPA's new approaches to regulation of importance to the chemistry sector, such as TSCA implementation, risk management plans, transparency in regulation, etc.
I am hoping your schedule will allow you to join us on September 13 and speak with, and meet, the assembled CTOs. Many thanks in advance for your consideration.
