SAFETY rKKSOHKEL The emphasis on safety work in our divisions since the New York meeting has brought about a greatly increased number of requests for tank cleaning supervision# It is apparent from these requests that our di visions are rather hard pressed to supply trained safety men to supervise these additional tank cleanings# In view of the fact that we are positive m vd.ll need an increased safety staff, is 1saw requested each division to select or additional rmn for issaediat training# Host of the divisions have ssade their selections and as soon aa we receive tineas all, -m Trf.ll ap prove or reject those selected end begin training# d iv is io n *j b e t ik q s It is the unanimous consensus of opinion among all ooneerned that every Held representative should have a moderate basic training in tank cleaning# i'o that end v?e are editing and preparing copies of the fol lowing* 1} safety Manual* 2) Ur# ISaohle's fante Cleaning Keport# 3) Customer organisation charts shoeing tank cleaning; responsi bility, 4) ?ak cleaning statistical forms for this operation at refine eries* terminals, and bulk plants* All of this imbrication should b in the hands of every field representative for study by tine 10th of August# Division meetings are to ba held during the month of September at which tine Jln.-Lewls and a representative from the Liadie&l Peparfcaaal* will thoroughly'discuss all safety problems for the benefit of all ropfe- \ aoirbativos.
