ThU Enamel possesses distinct advantages for rrfiniafrog work, aa it will cover solidly in one coat over surfaces that are gray and dirt stained. One Coat Enamel has positive drying and under practically all conditions dries over night. One Cost Enamel prodaces a smooth, even film of good gloss. It flows out rapidly under the brash sod the finished surface will not show rani, laps or brush marks. One Cost Enamel is an elastic and durable product which will sot show crazing or cracking even when used under severe conditions, such as on window gills sod casings. The good spreading and covering properties of One Coat F.nanarl are due to the improved litbopooe used, which results in an intense white that can be tinted, if desired, to say shade. TTae flowing, spreading and covering, combined with the economical feature of completing work in one coat, recommend this product as the best obtainable for the purpose. For beat results not more than pint of Turpentine should be added to each gallon of this product, which is purposely Baade with exceptionally heavy body ao that this redaction can be made by the painter. If One Cast Enamel is to be used on new work, it should be applied over a foundation of Ovalite Enamel Undercoating, or du Pont Quick Drying Undercoating. Containing a considerable quantity of pure French Process Zinc, Oralite Enamel produces an intense white finish* and, being rich in oil, will withstand contraction and expansion without cracking or checking. Oralite White Enamel ia free flowing and easy work ing, producing a rich gloss surface free from brush marks or laps. This enamel dries to a bard elastic film, but, unlike most long oil enamels, does not require an unusually long time to dry. Under normal conditions it dries to re-coat in 24 hours. For best results on new work* Ovalite Enamel should be applied over s foundation of Oralite Enamel Under coating, or du Poet Quick Drying Undercoating. Oralite Enamel is supplied in gloss white only, but may be tinted to any desired shade with du Pont Oil Colors. Bluett Label Quick Drying White Enamel rrwis product has been developed to meet the need for J_ an enamel that dries quickly enoogh to permit s complete two coat job in ooe day, where necessary. It is not a lacquer type product. This speed in drying has been obtained in du Pont Quick Drying White Enamel without a sacrifice of the desirable qualities, such ss ease of brushing, flowing and whiteness. It flows out free horn brash marks. Quick Drying White Enamel haa good gloss and color, and covers solidly, possessing unusual durability and elasticity. In fact, this product possesses all the good points of the usual long oil enamel* with the out standing advantage of quick drying. It is manufactured with a special gum-type vehicle and carries s high percentage of enamel lithopone* which gives it its extremely fine finish. Du Pont Quick Drying White Enamel dries for re costing in 6 to 8 hours, and is positively hard over night. A two cost job, using one coat of Quick Drying Undercoating and ooe of Quick Drying Enamel, can be completed in a day. This prodnet may also be used over previously surfaces, and, due to its exceptionsl hiding power, one coat is usually sufficient. On new work or surfaces badly checked or worn, two or more coats should be applied over a foundation of Quick Drying Undercoating. Quick Drying Enamel is supplied in gloss white only, but, where desired* may be tinted with du Pont Oil Colors. Where Urge quantities of color are added, however, it should be borne in mind that this addition will alow up the drying time proportionately with the amount of color added. However, where desired, it may be osed is s foundation cost for say enamel finish. It is not a lacquer type product. Two of the oatstanding features of Quick Drying Undercoating White are its unusual flowing properties and whiteness. Under normal conditions it flows oat free from brash marks, making landing in most `pi unnecessary. Where sanding is necessary, Quick Dry* ing Undercosting sands with remarkahfe esse, and will not gum up the sandpaper. Can be sanded ha 6 to 7 hours after application. Quick Drying Undercoating dries to s hard, impervi ous, tight surface which holds out succeeding enamel coats to a remarkable degree. It dries to re-coat in 6 hours. Quick Drying Undercosting White is the result of the development of s new vehicle, which permits the quick drying feature without sacrificing elasticity or durability. With one cost of this product followed by one cost of Quick Drying Enamel, the painter can com plete a two cost job in a day. Where desired, the product may be tinted with du Pont Oil Colon. Where thinning is necessary, pure spirits of Turpen tine should be used. Black label Ovaiite Enamel Undercoating Oriun En a me l Un d u c o a g n c is an outstanding product for painter use. It has exceptionally fine brushing properties, and, due to its extreme fineness of grind, b perfect flow and does not show brush marks. This feature can be appreciated m that it reduces sand ing COStS to S minimum. Ovaiite Enamel Undercoating sands easily. An out standing characteristic of this Uadercosting is that it does not gum up the sandpaper, hut sands to a fine powder. It may be sanded 24 boors after application. It is an ideal product for use at an Undercoating on all enamel work, as it is more economical than lead and zinc. Its extremely dense body and tight sealing prop erties bold out succeeding enamel coats, preventing them from striking in. Ovaiite Enamel Undercoating dries over night to a low eggshell sheen. When thinning is necessary, pure spirits of Turpen tine is recommended. Its free flowing properties and easy brushing enable the painter to brush any large surface without showing laps, and with the elimination of brush marks. This product is made with an extremely fin* lithopooe, which insures unusual fineness of texture and perfect whiteness. It is noted also for its solid corering and hard, tough film. When applied over da Pont Primer-Sealer, Town and Country Flat White will produce a satisfactory two coat job where such a system is required. Although Town and Country Flat sets up slowly, which accounts for its unusual leveling properties, it dries bard over night to a solid film which can be easily washed, if necessary. Due to its heavy body, Town and Country Flat is capable of bedding a nice, low round stipple effect when applied as received in the package. However, for general wall wort, it may be reduced with Turpentine or Tur pentine Substitute. Town and Country Flat is supplied in white only, but may be tinted to any color with du Pont Oil Colors. Blmck Isabel . Stippling Flat White DO Po n t St ipp l in g Fl a t Wh it e is an answer to the requirement of the painter for a stippling flat capable of producing any type or degree of stipple. It is perfectly adapted to all forms of stippling, mottling, texturing, etc. Stippling Flat may be stippled in from 10 to SO min utes, depending upon the degree of stipple desired. It covers aolidly and sets up slowly. Stippling Flat is a heavy bodied product which brushes out very freely and bolds a wet edge, therefore making rt possible to cover Urge areas at a time. Stippling Flat may be used as it comes in the package, but where thinning is necessary, pure Turpentine should be used. When used as sn unstippled finish, reduce with Turpentine to desired consistency. Where tints are desired, use du Pont Oil Colors. For best results on new work. Stippling Flat should be applied over du Pont Primer-Sealer. 10 11 J DUP 000128 0yiasler SProJuclt for QfYlasler PPunit Black Label Du Pont PrimerSealer Du Po n t Pu k k r -Sbal j er b one of the most successful wall primer* ever developed. It prime* and seal* in oae operation, producing a moat satisfactory foundstion for all auccceding coats- While intended primarily for uae on plaster surface*, Primer-Sealer is suitable also for application on wallboard, erflotn, brick, tile, concrete or cement. Being properly balanced in its composition of pigment and vehicle, it gives mnimnw sealing properties as well as satisfactory tooth for succeeding coata. Primer-Sealer is practically unaffected by motstore, and will overcome moat of the difficulties that occur where moisture is present, with less possibility of peeling or blistering, than other products of this type. It produces an unusually elastic and flexible coating that ia very resistant to lime and alkali, making it satisfac tory for use on walls which may not be thoroughly seasoned. Primer-Sealer brushes oat easily and smoothly, sod while it is not intended to give solid covering, it does give sufficient coverage to permit of two coat work where necessary. Under ordinary conditions, one coat of Primer-Sealer is sufficient, but where extremes of suction, Erne or alkali are encountered, two coats may be required. On ordinary surfaces the material should be applied exactly as received in the package. On extremely porous surfaces, Primer-Sealer shook! he thinned with one pint of Old F.ngftdi Paint Oil to each gallon of Primer-Sealer. Where desired, Primer-Sealer may be tinted with da Pont Oil Colors. Pre-tmted wall paints should not be added to this product, nor should Turpentine or Turpentine Substitute be ward in thinning, as the addi tion of these materials will destroy the balance between vehicle and pigment. 12 Black Label Quiek Drying Floor Varnish pvc Po n t Qu ic k Dit ik c Fl o o r Vsjutisa is a heavy k' bodied ad varaiah especially designed to meet Master Painters* requirements for floor work. While primarily designed for floors, it is also adapted for oae on woodwork and other interior surfaces where a wear resistant, quick drying, durable is desired. Qmek Drying Floor Varnish is extremely pale in color, brushes out easily, and has good gloss and excep tional body on the work. Under normal drying conditions and on properly prepared surfaces, this Tarnish will dry tack free in 4 hoars or less. It may be re-coated in from 6 to 8 boors, and has positive drying over night. Qmek Drying Floor Varnish is waterproof, scratchproof and mar-proof. Where thinning ia necessary, it may be reduced lighdy with pore spirits of Turpentine. 13 J DUP 000129 0^hosier ^ProJuclt^m for Q^lasler ^Painlet BlucULahmt Outside Spar Varnish h u is a long oil varnish of exceptional durability Tfor use where extremes of exposure are encountered. It is pale in color and possesses a full, rich body and beautiful gloss. Outside Spar brushes out with unusual freedom and levels itself out to a smooth, uniform body. Being exceptionally durable, it is particularly desir able for use on such surfaces as front doors, porch ceilings, deck houses, boats, canoes, lawn furniture, etc., srhich arc directly exposed to the elements. As its name implies, it is especially adapted for the protection of spars on yachts. Outside Spar will withstand the most trying condi tions of temperature and moisture. It is one of the most waterproof varnishes available, and will resist the: action of both fresh and salt water. It will positively not turn white, and its extreme elasticity makes for unusual durability under all coodi- , tious of outside exposure. 'Where thinning is necessary, this product may be reduced slightly with pure spirits of Turpentine. Outside Spar dries tack free in from 6 to 8 hoars under normal conditions, and reasonably hard over night. It may be re-coated after allowing 24 hours for drying between coats. 14 Blmch LmJtel General Utility Varnish AH aJQ purpose Tarnish for painter*' use. It ia suitable for floors, interior trim, and woodwork, mad may also be need on exterior surface* not completely exposed to the element*, such as front door*, porch ceilings, railing*, etc. T^iia product is unusually pale in color and shows very little discoloration over delicate finishes. It is noted for its durability and possesses good resistance to water. This Tarnish dries with a beautiful high gloss, and has good, full body. Dries hard for re-coating in 24 hour*, and dries over night for moderate use. Should thinning be necessary. Turpentine is recommended. However, being made on a linseed Oil base, it will not bora, curdle nor saponify the paint. While unusually black in color, it does not have the usual tendency to discolor light or delicate tints, because such quantities are required to give the requisite drying action. It is an aged drier free from sediment. The experiences of leading Master Painters have proved that a small amount of this drier is sufficient, where three times as much of the ordinary drier would be necessary. This feature in itself indicates the remarkable economy of Supreme Drier.
